Caring for the Whole FamilyAt New Life Healthcare we take care of all ages, from newborns to great grandparents. Due to our unique, gentle approach we are able to effectively treat patients at any stage of their life. Below is some information on how beneficial chiropractic care is for our children as they grow and mature, but first listen to what some of our patients have to say about their experience here.
Posture and TeensOne of the biggest issues we see in practice with our teenagers is that they are starting to lose the natural curve in their neck. It has been termed "Tech Neck" and refers to the changes in posture that have resulted from increased usage of technology such as computers, tablets, and cellphones. When you combine this over usage of technology with the already high amount of sitting, reading, and studying being asked of our students, it is no wonder teens are experiencing neck and back issues at younger and younger ages. As teenagers become less active and keep their heads bent down and forward, we start to see the neck straightening out with time, causing both neck and back pain, as well as headaches, migraines, and an increase in general irritability.
Lyme DiseaseLyme disease is a chronic condition present in both adults and children and is frequently misdiagnosed. We are fortunate enough to be adjoined with Dr. Ozdemir's pediatric clinic, which specializes in Lyme disease diagnosis and treatment. Links with Lyme disease have been found to autsim, dyslexia, visual processing deficit, sensory disintegration disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, chronic fatigue and other debilitating problems. Her practice, Pediatric Associates of Jacksonville, takes an integrative approach to pediatric care. If you suspect you or your child may be suffering from Lyme disease, or if you have been unable to find an answer to the conditions your child suffers from, there may be a solution.
